This beautiful cabled cape will be a practical addition to your wardrobe, giving extra warmth across the shoulders and back, while not being restrictive to wear. A single button at the neck holds it securely in place.

Sizes: S/M (L/XL).

Yarn required:
3 balls Creative Basics Esther 8ply, 100g balls@220m.

Needles required:
A 4.00mm (UK 8, US 6) circular knitting needle.
Wool needle for sewing in ends.

Also required:
A cable needle; a button.

Tension:
22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm [4 ins] over stocking st, using 4.00mm needles.

Stitches used:
Knit and purl stitches and cables.

This simple but very effective wrap is worked in easy garter stitch, with short rows to form the gentle curve. My version is worked in 8ply yarn but this style would suit almost any type of yarn and the length is easily altered to suit you.

This triangle shawl is worked in an easy, textured ridge pattern. My shawl is worked in 4ply yarn but this pattern will work for almost any yarn. The size can easily be adjusted, just keep working the pattern repeat until you reach your desired size or run out of yarn.
